May at Ey Up Flower
May has arrived, and with it, a flurry of activity here at Ey Up Flower. It’s been a busy time filled with seed sowing, propagating, and planning for the season ahead.
New Blooms on the Horizon
This year, I’ve introduced a range of new Dahlia and Cosmos varieties to the garden, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them in bloom. These have been chosen with a special event in mind—a wedding I’ll be catering for later in the season.
Not only will this give me a chance to see how the flowers perform and present themselves, but it’s also a great way to test how well they suit the chosen colour palette. I’m also looking forward to feedback from the couple and their guests—it’s always helpful to know what resonates and what doesn’t.
Dahlia Tip of the Month
If you’re growing dahlias, don’t forget: it’s not too late to take cuttings! This is a fantastic way to multiply your favourite varieties and create a fuller, more colourful display in your flower beds or borders.
Whether you’re growing for an event or simply to enjoy at home, every cutting has the potential to become a showstopper in your garden.
